When we are asked to select a race we are categorizing our selves so people can racial profile us. Am I of the Mexican race? Nope, black or white? Nope. Soanish? Latin? Indian? No. I quite frankly do not believe in multiple races. I mean the human race of course, but I am not of the Mexican race. I am affiliated with Mexican culture and ethnicity, but not of race.
I feel like in any application when we choose a category we label ourselves and that just creates boundaries that people of other cultures can't cross.

Heatwave
Heatwave is a very interesting movie. It depicts how the racism was brewing and how it all just erupted. One of of the quotes that really struck me had been when this one person was saying "stop hurting me" because the racism since the beginning of time had been there.
Not all white people are bad of course, but not all black people are good.
To me this is about perspective, because I had to put myself in the shoes of all four sides. From the ones that caused the hate and the ones that wanted to fight back, to the ones that really were living their lives ad the innocent that just wanted an opportunity.
To me this showed that not everyone has an opportunity, but that doesn't mean they should stop half way to actually achieve anything.
